I tried to search whole thread in this forum only to find how to change revo encoding to "UTF-8 with BOM", but no use.
how can i change encoding in modx revo?
In /core/config/config.php you can change $database_connection_charset = ’utf8’; to whatever you want. But I don’t know if that is the correct way of doing it or if it will work.
hi,
i’m not sure it’s that good an idea to use the BOM for web pages...
actually, even it the BOM is expected to solve some compatibility problems between unix and windows files, it’s also known to cause a tricky trouble, displaying sometimes a strange character () on the top of the files that you would see in browsers.
Years ago, it took me a while to understand where that damned (to be polite...) character came from and it was the BOM
