Hello,
I’ve a massive problem with my file-tree, I only see a „files“-container but no structure.
Everything worked fine without any problems until today. I can’t think of anything which could have messed it up.
I seperated the core from the system (weeks ago), here are the server infos:
PHP 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.5 with Suhosin-Patch (cli) (built: Sep 17 2010 13:49:46)

Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies

with Suhosin v0.9.29, Copyright (c) 2007, by SektionEins GmbH
mod_php
Server version: Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu)
Server built: Sep 28 2010 12:53:28
open_basedir active
This is the error-message I get:
[error] [client x.x.x.x] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception ’UnexpectedValueException’ with message ’DirectoryIterator::__construct(/path/to/web/): failed to open dir: Permission denied’ in /path/to/core/model/modx/processors/browser/directory/getlist.php:64\nStack trace:\n#0 /path/to/core/model/modx/processors/browser/directory/getlist.php(64): DirectoryIterator->__construct(’/path/to/??/...’)\n#1 /path/to/core/model/modx/modconnectorresponse.class.php(86): include(’//path/to/...’)\n#2 /path/to/core/model/modx/modconnectorrequest.class.php(76): modConnectorResponse->outputContent(Array)\n#3 /path/to/core/model/modx/modconnectorrequest.class.php(65): modConnectorRequest->prepareResponse(Array)\n#4 /path/to/web/connectors/browser/directory.php(3): modConnectorRequest->handleRequest(Array)\n#5 {main}\n thrown in /path/to/core/model/modx/processors/browser/directory/getlist.php on line 64
I’d be very thankful about any hints...
DirectoryIterator::__construct(/path/to/web/): failed to open dir: Permission denied
I’d start with this - the user that Apache is running as does not have access to /path/to/web.
Look through Apache’s config file and find the user that it’s running as, then make that user the owner of /path/to/web (chown <user> /path/to/web) and give the owner full permissions on that folder (chmod -R u+rwX /path/to/web.)
Thanks a lot!
Now it works.... thanks for your support.
