    Server is ngnix with PHP v5.3.3 and mysql 5.1.49.

    I can’t see any system settings and other things after pressing menu items.
    Could anybody give me some hints how to make this working (evolution version works great on the same server)?

      Are you using the APC php cache store? If so this may or may not help http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=51673.0
        Use MODx, or the cat gets it!

        FWIW, I’m using APC on PHP 5.3.3 via MacPorts and all is working perfectly. It may be a bad version of APC if there is a problem related to it (or eAccelerator).

          Thank you for hints - it was the same thing.

          ini_set(’apc.cache_by_default’, ’0’);
          on begining of index.php sloves problem.

            Hi All,

            I am just new here and want to try using MODX. I have been using other CMSs but reviews of MODX made me decide to try it out in my new site. But I am getting turned off when I needed to download MODX, I need to register first (probably there are reasons for this which I don’t want to know anymore).

            When I finally get into downloading MODX and installed it on my XAMPP (Windows version) I get this error

            Fatal error: Class ’xPDO’ not found in .../core/xpdo/xpdo.class.php on line 570

            on the Frontend and Backend.

            I tried adding the recommendation (on both the index.php files of frontend and backend) of polygon7
            ini_set(’apc.cache_by_default’, ’0’);

            I was able to log into the Backend but I get a totally blank front page.

            I have downloaded the latest version as of this date which I believe is a stable version. I don’t believe that I am having a hard time even just to have my front page of my new MODX show up.

            Do you think, it would be worth continuing to learn MOD with all these issues I face as a first user?

              An initial installation of Revolution doesn’t have any content. You’ll need to go to the Manager and create a template and a resource to provide some content.

                Yes, or install one of the pre-packaged templates/demo sites.

                  FWIW, the APC issue (also affected other opcode caching systems) should be resolved form the 2.0.5 release, coming soon.
