    Hey guys (and gals),

I am having trouble installing some packages. I have the newest modx and I can’t find the resources tab to install code. I found Package Management but I can figure out how to put files into "core/packages" the right way. I tried putting them in Zip, normal, no containing folder... How do you install txt files with code as well (cause there in no resources tab).

    Many thanks!

Snippets, plugins, TVs, templates, and chunks are now called "Elements" so you can find (and create them) on the Elements tab.

To install existing packages, you go to Package Manager and click on "Download Extras." That will let you download packages to the grid where you can install them (cURL must be enabled for this to work).

For packages that are not available that way, you can copy the package to core.packages and select "search locally for packages" to get it in the grid. BUT, the file must end in transport.zip (and renaming them won’t help).

If there is no transport.zip file available, it’s likely an Evolution component and probably won’t work in Revolution. You can install it the old-fashioned way by pasting the code but you’ll usually have rewrite the code and tags to work in Revolution.
