    I tried using the following on my Revolution 2.0.1 installation and it still doesn’t work...

    define(’XPDO_MODE’, 2);

    Is this XPDO override still available?

      No, xPDO is 5.1.1+ only now.

        I’m running php 5.2.0 - so given that it should work - right? Or no - this command is no longer applicable in Revolution 2 at all?

          You shouldn’t have to define anything to run it; xPDO will automatically detect your PHP version.

            It could work, but I highly recommend upgrading from 5.2.0 as that is a very old release with known issues, Revolution or no Revolution.

            The feature was only part of xPDO 1.0 and is not applicable to xPDO 2.0+ which requires 5.1.1+ and a working mysql PDO driver/configuration.

              Thanks for your help with this so far. Strangely enough its not - is there a version of modx revolution beta5 that I can try?

              I get this when I run the installer: Connecting to mysql server:
              MODx requires the pdo_mysql driver when native PDO is being used and it does not appear to be loaded.

              When I use a previously installed site I tried to migrate I get this:
              Fatal error: Undefined class constant ’MYSQL_ATTR_USE_BUFFERED_QUERY’ in /home/progress/oworks/docs/BB_2011/alpha/core/model/modx/modx.class.php on line 351

              Basically, I’m on a version of php5.2 on solaris which doesn’t have PDO for mysql compiled in. Recompiling php on this box might not be an option - thus i’m exploring pdo emulation with xPDO

                I posted my last reply prior to reading the last post here. So is there a version of revolution I can run without the pdo mysql driver? I’d love to have some of the revolution features - even if its a beta or previous release - for the time being at least.

                  No; MODx Revolution requires a fully-operational PDO_mysql driver.

                    I found this... http://quercus.caucho.com/

                    It seems many other apps run in a java web server environment with this build of PHP, think I’ll have luck?
