    Hey there!

I have a problem with file manager, it doesn’t show up neither files nor directory structure in sidebar tab. When i try to upload image in TV it shows only directory structure.
I wonder if this could be result of transfer from one server to another, cause it’s ok on source server and screwed up on destination.

    Source server is 2.0.0-pl,
Dest. was 2.0.2 (the issue already took place) and now i upgraded to 2.0.3 with no luck.

[edit: just upgraded to 2.0.4. the issue persists, should i try with clean modx install now?]

i resolved the issue by clean install, however, the bug still exists.

upgraded to 2.0.4, flushed privileges and cleared cache. still no luck, explicitly set file_path to webroot with and without trailing slash, with blank value. it’s still the same.

Hi. We can’t help you until you provide this:

Note: If you’re posting about a bug, please state all of your Environment information in your post: Version of MODx, Traditional or Advanced distribution (for Revo), Server OS, Server Version, PHP Version, MySQL Version (client and server), is pdo_mysql installed, your Browser type and version, if you are using any opcode caching such as eAccelerator, APC, winCache, xCache, etc; any relevant errors in core/cache/logs/error.log, and any other environment data we should know. We can’t help you without that information.

            Hey splittingred,

            thanks for the reply.
modx ver: 2.0.3-pl, 2.0.4-pl (traditional upgrade from 2.0.0-pl traditional install)
            Server OS: FreeBSD 6.4-RELEASE-p7
            Apache: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix)
            PHP: 5.2.10
            mysql: 5.1.36
            pdo_mysql is installed.

my browser is Firefox 3.6.9 and Chrome 6.0.
I just tried clean install (dropping all tables in db, deleting * from server folders), so file browser worked. Then i restored previous backup of site, relogged in manager, files were visible, then i refreshed list and they were gone again.

Did you do an upgrade install of the new version?

Check the filemanager_path system setting if you haven’t already.

                Hey Bob,

                Here’s how the story goes:

i installed revo 2.0.0-pl in one environment (linux shared hosting) with
                OS: Linux 2.6
                Apache: 2.0.63
                PHP: 5.2.5 (cgi)
                MySQL:5.0.26

(staging site), then ported to production site with before-mentioned software, then upgraded to 2.0.2, then to 2.0.3 (and only then noticed that behavior).

However, the problem is solved, i did clean install, copied over _site_content table, installed my own package with templates and chunks, installed packages with snippets & plugins i used (btw, i really love this thing, it’s just so awesome!!! For some reason, i couldn’t install any subpackages via my own (it started throwing errors at me, so i dropped db once again)). That did the trick, guess something went wrong while i was playing with new toy (it’s the first site on Revo for me).

I have full sql backup of that buggy installation, i can file a bug report if that could help.

                  Glad you got it working.

You could certainly file a bug report and attach the file if you’ve got the energy. That kind of thing sometimes helps with obscure bugs if someone has the time to track down the problem (I don’t right now, but someone else might).
