    Hi there,

Let me preface this by noting that this is not a general bug, as I have two cores running right now on two different servers and one of them works fine in respect to package updates...

the other one, however, is having problems. When I click on package manager, it will list all of the downloaded packages, and I can install/uninstall packages fine. For some reason it will not notify that an update is available to a specific package. This started after I installed 2.0.3 (but like I said, I know it’s not a bug in 2.0.3 b/c the other copy of revo that I have doesn’t have this problem and it is up to date and was updated the same way). The server configs are a little different, but I did verify that cURL is installed and running and that the core/packages directory is writable by php. I don’t see any other blaring server config issues that could be causing the problem, and the error logs are pristinely free right now.

The only other thing that is different about this build is that at one point I had messed around with creating an editor group, but backed down after the instructions on how to do so on the wiki didn’t work so well. I BELIEVE I’ve got it back to the defaults in this respect.

Any ideas out there on what would cause revo to not recognize when an update is avail?

Oh, also I can manually install updates by the usual download and then install. Revo just doesn’t seem to recognize they are available, and I am thusly not able to use the update command.

      fixed.

for some reason some of the packages had become unattached to the default provider. Once I added the provider (modxcms.com) to the affected packages they correctly recognized updates.

This is a known issue with 2.0.3, actually, that can sometimes occur. It’s been fixed for 2.0.4.
