I am developing a site using MODx Revolution, and the site users will require the use of a MediaWiki instance. This can be provided off-site if it really comes down to it, but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for integrating the MediaWiki with the MODx site somehow. I guess the key thing is that it doesn’t feel like the two are too separate.
I am a VERY inexperienced web developer (this is my first site!), and I am what one might call "untrained", so please bear with me if I fail to understand.

That’s not going to be a trivial project by any means. The two are very different systems, and I’ve not heard of any similar efforts previously. Two standalone instances is likely the best approach for you.
