Hi I’m trying to setup a context where all resources will only be accessable by staff. Having had some problems with doing this I tried an experiment and this is what I have discovered.
1) I set up a user group called staff and added my self to it.
2) I then set up a resource group called staff and added a resource to it.
3) Then I set up the following
Staff Member-9999 Load,List,View web
This controls access to the resource in the staff group inside the web context np. If i’m logged in via manager it shows as available if i’m not logged in then it doesn’t show.
so then I added
Staff Member-9999 Load,List,View Staff
added a resource in the Staff context to the resource group.
And this blocks access to the resource for everyone even me when I’m logged in via the manager. If I remove the resource in the Staff context from resource group then it is avaible to everyone.
Have I missed somthing that is set up in the web context by default that isn’t in a new context or is this expected behaviour.
