I just upgraded from 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 without a hitch but
during the process discovered that the site is growing
massively... and it is due to two things:

    1) the cache directory is growing and
    2) the components directory is growing

    can we delete the cache?

in the components dir there are all the copies of all the versions
that have been uploaded and installed, can we delete all except of
    course for the latest versions?

    TIA

I assume you mean core/packages/ ? If so, yes you can, if you’re okay with not being able to revert to a prior version of the component. You might want to backup before doing so.

If you mean core/components/, then no, you shouldn’t delete any of those files.
