    The template I have designed and associated pages show as designed in Chrome and Safari, but only the home page shows in IE and Firefox?

    If I navigate to pages other than home page in IE and Firefox, only the background shows. None of the content, which shows in Chrome and Safari, appears?

    You’ll obvously need to view the site in IE and Firefox to view the problem.

        Thanks for looking at it. I think that line was in my template whilst I was creating it, and I then replaced it with the correct syntax.

        But the pages I create from the template keep including that line. I just tried deleting the "About" and "About Level 2" pages and re-creating them, and the line was still there?

        I’ll have to put more time into it later to work out what is going on.

        Again thanks for looking.

          This is bizzare to me. Even if I delete the About page/s and re-create them, the old line calling the js file still exists in the new pages.

          Here is my template code:
          <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
                 "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
          <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">

          <head>
          <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
          <meta name="keywords" content="[[*meta-keywords]]" />
          <meta name="description" content="[[*meta-description]]" />
          <title>[[*pagetitle]]</title>
          <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="[[++base_url]]assets/templates/zelky/css/mainstyle.css" />
          <script type="text/javascript" src="[[++base_url]]assets/templates/zelky/js/IE-fix.js" />
          [[*webdeveloper-css]]
          <!-- RSS -->
          <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS 2.0" href="[[++site_url]][[~16]]" />
          [[*webdeveloper-js]]
          </head>

          <body>
          <div id="top_header">[[*topheader]]</div>
          <br />
          <div id="nav_container">
            [[$zelky-navigation]]
          	</div>
          </div>
          <div class="clearFix"></div>
          <br />
          <div id="header">[[*header]]</div>
          <br />
          <div id="content">[[*content]]
          <div id="left">[[*left]]
          </div>
          <div id="right">[[*right]]
          </div>
          <div class="clearFix"></div>
          </div><br />
          [[$zelky-footer]]
          </body>
          </html>

          Yet when I create a new page using the template this is the code:
          <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
                 "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

          </head>

          <body>
          <div id="top_header"></div>
          <br />
          <div id="nav_container">

            I’m not using Revolution, but from what I’ve read, clearing the cache keeps coming up.

              I can’t get past this.

              I’ve cleared the cache numerous times, deleted and recreated pages. I just can’t seem to create a page that uses teh actual template code? I’m not sure where it is pulling in the code it is pulling in?

              Template code:
              <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
                     "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
              <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">

              <head>
              <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
              <meta name="keywords" content="[[*meta-keywords]]" />
              <meta name="description" content="[[*meta-description]]" />
              <title>[[*pagetitle]]</title>
              <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="[[++base_url]]assets/templates/zelky/css/mainstyle.css" />
              <script type="text/javascript" src="[[++base_url]]assets/templates/zelky/js/IE-fix.js" />
              [[*webdeveloper-css]]

              </head>

              <body>
              <div id="top_header">[[*topheader]]</div>
              <br />
              <div id="nav_container">

              [[$zelky-footer]]
              </body>

              I’m not sure what to do other than delete my install and start again?

                I tried deleting the template, re-creating it, applying it to the pages but the old code still keeps coming in from somewhere???

                Should I report this as a bug? I can’t get around it. If I was creating a proper site this would be quite a problem.

                  Hello

                  In your last post this line may be the problem :

                  <script type="text/javascript" src="/modx/assets/templates/zelky/js/IE-fix.js" /></script>

                  You have 2 ending tags in this line.. One autoclose after "IE-fis.js" (that should not be there) and the normal one "</script>" to close the script call...

                  Hope this helps
                  Cheers

                    There is no problem with MODx, as most of you are probably aware. The problem has kindly been pointed out by anso. Thank you very much anso.

                    So the problem was that I had the incorrect syntax for the link to the inserted js file as described above...which is embarrassing.

                    I’ve corrected my error and now the pages show fine across the four browsers I referred to earlier.

                    Thank you for persevering with my problem and finding a solution.
