database_truncate permission

When, in the course of using the manager interface, would one need to have this permission? I need an example I can comprehend, so I can decide whether or not to include this permission in an Access Policy.

I think it might be legacy from an old Evo ability.

There is a truncate processor that requires that permission, but I don’t see that processor being used anywhere. I wonder if it was related to clearing the logs.

It was related to being able to truncate any of the log tables, event_log, manager_log, etc.
