More upgrade problems

With all the traffic here the past two days, I guess I should feel a little better, or concerned depending on how you look at it, on how I’m having similar issues. Before I attempt to roll back to 2.0, I’d like to see if there are any fixes available for my current problems. I’ve done all the cache clears and session flushes. Even tried this on a browser I haven’t used with the manager.

1. System Events on plugins are getting ignored. CodeMirror worked great in 2.0, not so in 2.0.2. I’ve tried the various package fixes, but they aren’t working. When I edit an element, I get nothing in the way of syntax highlighting. MAJOR BUZZKILL. >:( >:( >:( >:(

2. Package Management is flaky. I’ll get to the provider selection screen and it will just hang. No JS errors, just a next button that doesn’t do anything. I’ll try it a few times later and it works, then goes back to failing. If I close out of the console window, the overlay still remains forcing me to refresh the page.

System events are working just fine. You need to update CodeMirror to the latest version.

Can you file that as a bug here: http://bugs.modx.com/ and report your browser and OS as well?

Hm, we’ve seen that, but can’t figure out why. It might be something to do with CodeMirror. I’ll take a look.

For some reason I can’t login to the bug reporting site. I have the latest version of CodeMirror (multiple reinstalls). It appears to be working ok now.

The orphaned overlay problem seems to have been fixed. I originally got it by going to System->Package Mangement then clicked on Download Extras. When no provider was given (don’t know how to specify in that window) and you closed the modal window, it left the overlay. Looks like they bug with the no package provider has been fixed.

I’ve cleared out the error log and with CodeMirror working, it’s still flooding the log with the recursion errors.
