I had Revo 2.01 standard installed, in sub directory, 2.02 has just come available so i did a fresh install but installed advanced so i could move the core folder , i restored the db and loaded the site, the first page loads fine, however when i click on any of the links it says page can not be found...
are there any settings i need to change?
Check the paths in the "Site" area in System -> System Settings.
Hi thanks for the reply, i just went through every setting, and all seems to be set right, i even went through the mysql db and checked every entry as well.. i don’t understand why the front page loads and then not any of the others,
I even went in to one of the resource pages and clicked on preview but it just loads up a page can not be found

could it be anything to do with permissions? as the core folder is set outside of the public_html folder (as the advanced says you can do that and the manager works fine)
If the Manager works, the core files are fine.
Could the upgrade have overwritten your .htaccess file? The rewrite rules would be commented out and the FURLs wouldn’t work.
See if you can access a known page with yoursite.com/index.php?id=##
(where ## is the ID of the page).
You might also look at any paths in the core/config/config.inc.php file.

i checked all them and they appear to be ok, as i still have the original install under 2.01 i looked at the .htaccess file to make sure they matched, the only difference i could see was in the mod rewrite on the 2.01 install it had

on the new install 2.02 it has

when i go to the main page its fine, and if i go to www.xxxx.com?id=1 is ok, but if i try the same for one of the other oages i.e ?id=12 i get a blank page... if i try ?id=66 the page shows
what is interesting though is that that page id 12 is one that was in the DB when i restored (i,e i created in 2.01) however page id66 is one i created new on the 2.02
I just did some more testing and if i use the templates i created i get a blank page, however if i change the template to blank and retry the page loads with the content but no styling....
because i installed the advanced the folder that i had the css files in looks different, could it be as simple as the link to the css file isn’t right?
Ok done some more testing, i am using 3 templates front page, main pages, and main pages full width... when the front page loads it is using the front page template and works ok, but the main pages obviously use the main pages template with them i get a white screen... so its seeing the css files etc etc...
i have checked and apart from some different items being on the front page and the main page templates they are the same...
is it possible something is corrupt?
will it be quicker to reinstall the blank db to 2.02 and manually re create each resource, tv, chunk (nightmare jib if i have to)
ast thought..... when i installed 2.02 i chose utf8 i think 2.01 was latin?
The first thing to try is just changing the rewrite base to what it was before. If modx is still installed in a subdirectory, that shouldn’t have changed, regardless of where you put the core.
