Right now I’m using MODx Revolution 2.0.0 RC-2 and like to upgrade to 2.0.x and ofcourse future versions. But in the past I can’t seem to upgrade (any previous) version of MODx Revolution to a new version of Revo. In the intstall window the ’upgrade’ option is dimmed / grayed out.
I’m running MODx Revolution RC-2 on a production website (I know, it’s a dumb choice to use a beta on production website), with a few (subdomains) cortexes. I can’t afford to reinstall every single update and do al of the CMS work over and over again!! That is, creating new cortexes, templates, chunks etc. and copying over ALL content by hand page by page!!
Anyone?

I would install a copy of the production site locally and run the upgrade from there to see if it break anything.
Then, after testing, i would deploy the last stable version on the production site.
