Did I miss something? No features in Revolution

I just installed Revo 2 and I must say it was a bit of shock.

The thing I can’t get my head around is why there is nothing in it.

I mean no features, plugins, extras etc that actually make it useable as CMS.

Like a wysiwyg editor, wayfinder, etc, etc that came preinstalled with the old version.

Am I missing something?

Surely I don’t have to download, install and configure each and everyone of the plugins?

That’s going to make the install process tedious and time consuming.

Is there a version that comes prepackaged with the regular plugins etc?

Revolution comes with only the basics.

If you want to install things such as snippets and an example website you need to login to manager and go to System >> Package Management >> Download Extras. From there you can navigate the menu on the left to download whatever you need.

It’s not like installing things in Evo. As timharis777 says, you can download and install (or upgrade, or uninstall) any add-on in a few clicks in Package Manager and you’re not loaded down with a bunch of add-ons you don’t need.

And once you loaded your MODx with all the stuff you want,
you can install PackMan extra and package your site.

Then the next MODx you install, you can just install the
package you just made and all the snippets, plugins, templates,
tvs, etc will be installed automatically...
