I used Modx a couple of times in Evolution. I remember there was a hack (not sure if that’s the best word) to use templates that were local files. Essentially, I don’t want Safari to be my development environment and would rather stay with Textmate. I’m trying Revolution for a new site and I can’t seem to come up with anything on Google (or the forums) as to how to do this. Maybe I’m just searching the wrong words.
Could someone point me in the right direction please?
I’ve only used Modx a couple of times, and Revolution is a brand new bird to me. So use small words please. Thanks much.
There is many a way in MODx.
See:-

The idea is explained in:-

but use the code in Susan’s post for snippet slight mod.
Hope this helps.
I used it then with Netbeans and Git worked as expected. (not sure it is worth all the effort IMHO editing small things in html does not require a fancy editor for me.)
Regards Hope Revo suits you needs. The syntax is changed for Revo. The power is out of this woooorrrld.
DEVELOPMENT ENV:- Ubuntu 12.04 | MODx Revolution 2.2.8 | LAMP 2i Apache 2.2.22 | Php 5.3.10 | Mysql 5.5.31 MySQL client version: 5.5.31
This looks like exactly what I need, thanks.
