White screen on install

    Hello,
    I’m new to modx Revolution. I downloaded the package and followed install instructions. Everything appeared to go OK - all items ticked - but on install I got a white screen. All permissions appear to be OK, the database has been populated but when I try to access the site I get:
    500 Error A fatal application error has been encountered.

    The site is installed on a local testing server running Apache/2.2.13 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.13 OpenSSL/0.9.8k PHP/5.2.12 . Max_execution_time 120 Memory_limit 128

    Any ideas on where to look?
