I’m not sure 100%, but it seems as if there would be another, yet unreported bug.
If you assign more than 20 resource groups to an access-control-list (resource group access),
the list is not shown properly (there is no second page).
Far more fatal: If you save, log out und re-login, the whole tree is gone and if you klick any menu,
you’re kicked out of the system immediately.
Did anyone experience the same problem? I couldn’t find anything about that in JIRA, but as I’m not
familiar with bug-reporting, it might be possible that I’ve something overlooked.
I use Revolution 2.0.0-pl, Server version: Apache/2.2.9 (Debian), PHP 5.2.14-0.dotdeb.0 with Suhosin-Patch 0.9.7 (cli) (built: Jul 24 2010 17:09:50)

thanks a lot for answering and for fixing the bug.
The rest of the behavior hasn’t to do something with admin privileges or admin-usergroup-policies in my opinion, I’m testing a few more things and will post a better description of the behavior as soon as I know more.

You probably know this, but just in case:
If you create a connection between a user group and a resource group, the admin will be denied access to resources in the resource group unless you either add the admin to the user group, or create an ACL entry in the Administrator user group giving the admin access to that resource group.

thanks Bob, I did know that, but of course that could have been a possibility.
I really tried hard to somehow understand in which cases the system behave like I mentioned, that testing took me a lot of time.
My result: If I assign 24 resource groups to an access-control-list, everything is working fine.
If I assign the 25th resource group (or even more) and save, everything is still alright and working fine. But when I log out and re-login,
the filetree is gone, the layout broken, I can’t click "logout" and as soon as I klick any menu-item I get kicked out of the system.
It seems as if it doesn’t matter which of the resource groups I assign, it’s just the overall number of resources that is relevant.
Is there anybody out there who can confirm my observations?

ivan, you may be seeing a side effect of the bug splittingred describes above.

I’m really wondering why nobody else experienced that behaviour.
