    Hi,

I’m new to modX. I’d like to start using it as base system for my company projects but meets all of the customers’ requirements except for one: there’s no page versioning (or: I can’t find it smiley. So if someone accidentaly deletes some content there’s no possibility of restoring it from previous version and whole-site backup isn’t the best solution, especially for heavily edited sites. Also, there’s no way to see history of changes made to a single page.

Is there any module, which provides such functionality? I don’t need any page relations to be taken care of in versioning, just the raw HTML+TV. If not, I’d consider creating it by myself. Before I dive into the code, any of the experienced modx developers could tell me how hard (more like days or months to develop) could it be?

    thanks,
    ian

There isn’t any versioning solutions for Revolution that I am aware of – but it is on the roadmap for the 3.0 version: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Roadmap

Though here is a unique solution to achieve something similar to versioning: http://ichosemodx.wordpress.com/2010/08/03/publishing-a-resource-from-a-draft-copy-revised-now-with-tvs/
