I love the blog tutorial! Following it to the tee I had a blog roll running in just under an hour. I can see also how one could use the same system -- minus comments -- to run a news page. The question I have is how to aggregate such a system while drawing from multiple contexts. So for example:
site1.com
--home
--newspage (3)
-- -- subpages
site2.com
--home
--newspage (16)
-- -- subpages
--otherpage
site3.com
--home
--aggregator page
--otherpage
I want the aggregator page to draw from the news pages from site1.com and site2.com. I’d like to pull the info from the other contexts in a way that all of the news articles end up sorting by date. Thus I can’t just pull two feeds and show them on a single page b/c they would sort by domain, not date. The blogging system appears to conform to the context rules (which is good for security in a multi-user environment and I agree 100% with it being designed this way otherwise), b/c if I just apply the resources I want to draw from according to the tutorial’s formula (which I have working fine in a single-context environment) then the pages from the other contexts don’t pull.
Is there a way to do this through using @DOCUMENT, and if so how would I set this up? I can’t seem to use this method and get info sorted by date... but perhaps I’m referring to the wrong resource...? Or perhaps I’m way off altogether...
