Resources tree too slow?

Yeah, then something is wrong with your configuration I would suspect.

MODx configuration or server?
I have everything configured as it came by default when installing MODx.
I want to test the site in another shared server to see if there is any differece... is there anybody who lend me a temporary hosting account to test it?? If not I’ll purchase an account at hostgator or simmilar to compare.

I have migrated one website to a windows platform and the problem persists.
The new server is:
- Windows 2008
- Mysql 5.0.45
- php 5.2.5
- memory_limit 32MB ( the other server had a lot more memory and the same problem )

Each reload of the tree is too slow!

No you aren’t the only one. I have reported a similar experience in this forum almost 2 years ago for 2.0.0-beta-1. It is strange. There seems to be a group of people who observe this slowness and others don’t.

I observe this issue on both my local machine using Wampserver (Apache/MySQL) and on my hosted shared server environment. I tried different browsers and client machines (Chrome, IE, Firefox on Win, Safari on Mac) and no significant difference. At least when running on the local machine I would expect almost lighting fast responses but no 2 to 3 seconds of wait until even a collapsed tree refreshes.

I hope this could be solved because it’s not normal. I’ve made several tests too, in different enviroments and different configurations but always the same: each time we refresh the page the tree is slowly reloaded...
Solutions?
- Try to find what happen and fix it.
- Make it different, not reloading the tree or having it preloaded ( gears/html5 local storage/js... ) instead of loading the tree asynchronously.
