Hi, i’m trying to find a solution for a situation which seems very basic. So i’m thinking maybe i’m just looking in all the wrong places and if someone could just point me in the right direction there’s a suitably simple solution out there.
This is what i’m looking for:
a very simple calendar area for a dance company like this

each entry is one document, that’s fairly easy
But how do i build the combination date+location? Problem is that the number of date/location entries is variable, the number of TVs is definite. So i think the final value would be a string with delimiters defining each single entry. This could very well be entered by hand, but that’s not a userfriendly solution - for the date i’d like to use a date picker, for the location a textfield would be fine. It would be possible to create a new document for each entry, but that would be overkill, wouldn’t it?
Right now i’m thinking i build some custom field via plugin, but i’m afraid that i struggle to reinvent a crude form of wheel when there’s a shiny new all terrain jumbo suv parked right around the corner.
So, do i hvae to get my hands dirty with custom fields or is there an easier way?
