Menu In MODx

Is there an easy way to get started with menus in MODx without a huge learning curve?

I’ve installed WAyfinder and put this tag in teh template

[[Wayfinder? &startId=`0`]]


But all that shows up is "Home" even though other items exist in the document tree and are not blocked from showing up in the menu.

The documentation does not specify why the other links are not showing up.


Are there menu examples that can be easily customised and used that you find in CMS like Jomla where there are guidelines how to install and customize the menu? As it seems to even edit or set the CSS of a wayfinder menu is a battle with some unfamiliar syntax such as

"<ul>[[+wf.wrapper]]</ul>"

Ultimately, styling a menu with MODx is easier than with Joomla, but you need to know the MODx tag syntax:

First of all, ensure your resources are "published" if you want to see them in your menu...
