I’m aware that there is a demand for something like QuickManager+ or ManagerManager in Revolution. However I’m wondering if someone out there who has dreamed up some solution yet. I will be working over the next few days on trying to get FormIt to solve the said problem. I imagine a combination of pre/post-hooks I’ll be able to fill a form w/ a resource’s info and then update it on submit. Am I totally off here?

To explain my situation a little more clearly: I have a ton of editors/contributors who will just be bogged down by all the options in the default manager, however they will have access to some management tasks. I figure, if they can login, edit their profile, see a list of resources and create/edit them at will then that would make for a perfect solution. Tasks like updating their profile in the manager are simply to complex for them, rightfully so.

From what I’ve gathered, FormIt is a replacement to eForm to some degree, and is specifically tailored toward emailing. But from the looks of it, it’d have no problem doing much more. If you’ve done something like this before I’d be very interested to get some specific development feedback.

I’ll update once I’ve played around w/ it more. But I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

FYI, I believe the login package now has a snippet for editing user profiles including extended (custom) fields in the front end.
