My constantly growing URL

    I have the following problem. I have a simple site with two menu links, one menu link (Parent1) has one child page (Child1).

    When I click on the Parent1 menu option the URL in the browser address bar is:

    www.my-site.com/Parent1.html

    When I click on the Child1 menu option the URL is:

    www.my-site.com/Parent1/Child1.html

    All well and good. However, when I then click on the Parent1 menu option I see this URL:

    www.my-site.com/Parent1/Parent1.html

    Then when I click on Child1 again I see this URL:

    www.my-site.com/Parent1/Parent1/Child1.html

    When I click back on Parent1 menu option I get:

    www.my-site.com/Parent1/Parent1/Parent1.html

    If I click on Child1 again I get:

    www.my-site.com/Parent1/Parent1/Parent1/Child1.html

    And so on, the URL gets longer and longer.

    I am using a very basic wayfinder:

    [[!Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`2` !]]

    I am using Revo 2.0.0.pl rev7212

    Use friendly alias path = yes
    Use friendly aliases = yes
    Use friendly URLs = yes

    This happens in FireFox, IE8 and Chrome.

    Any ideas ?

      Did you reference the base_url in your template?

        No I don’t reference base_url in my template.

          You should add it:

          <head>
	<title>[[++site_name]] :: [[*pagetitle]]</title>
<!-- add the base url here -->
	<base href="[[++site_url]]"></base>

              The <base> tag specifies a default address or a default target for all links on a page. (w3schools.com)
