Do they login as a Manager User or a Web User?

I’m using Evolution 1.0.2 on two sites and 1.0.4 on my 3rd site.

I use a manager login, but have the user sent to a specific page on login. That page has buttons for various front-end management functions (such as Jot moderation or Notes, also to the first page for blog or news posts so they can use QuickManager). If all they’ll ever do is this front-end management stuff, I’ll block access to the Manager and configure QM to not show that link. I also add a custom link to QM to the front-end manager page. Since it’s only going to be viewed by a manager user, that page is unpublished so regular visitors can’t get into it under any circumstances.

If they need access to the Manager for something like a gallery or calendar module, I’ll have a link to the specific Manager action on the Manager’s Welcome page to make it easier for them.

        Thank you Susan!

I’m trying to get my head around this issue (what pieces of code i need (QuickManager+, ManagerManager) and how to tie it all together.

From you post it sounds like i need to write some front end modules to invoke these Plugins. Sometimes with MODx it takes me a while to figure out what’s done for me and what i need to do.

To that end i created a post under the Users, Authentication & Personalization form here http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,55194.msg317749.html#msg317749
