hello,
Is there an existing snippet or add on that allows users to sign up with their email addy’s to receive email notifications of new blog posts? I’m using ditto - does this do it already?
How about sms texts? Anything built for modx yet, or will I have to import a third party piece to handle that?
thanks
I’m looking for a similar package.
Haven’t found anything yet, though. DadaMail is recommended but I’m not sure if it will work with Revo.

You could try FeedBurner. Just make a RSS feed using ditto (do a google, you should be able to find a tutorial or two), and enter the link to that feed on Feedburner. When you give users the link you’re being given by feedburner, your visitors get the option to subscribe through webreaders (like iGoogle) or to receive email notifications (or just look at the plain xml feed).
I sent my rss feed to twitterfeed, which tweets my updates automatically. Dont need your email - just follow me on twitter.... QED.
. I forgot that feedburner exists.
