I’m building a plugin to revo (2.0.0-pl) for aq client. We have built a basic CMS site for our client, but he also needs to be able to upload files and have them display when someone logs into the site.(eg word docs, pdfs, audio files, etc)
rather than build a whole new upload and file manager script I was hoping to use features already in MODx (even if i have to extend them a little bit). Ideally this is what i would like (all in the manager area) :
A button on the component I’m building that launched the file browser
A button in the file manager that gets the path to a chosen file, for use in the form I’m building.
I have built something similar for a previous client (I used ExtJS 3.2 for their admin/manager area), and can try to use that - but am hoping not to ’re-invent the wheel’.
Any direction would be appreciated, as well as if modifications to such things as the file browser are easily supported (or if MODx just isn’t designed for that level/type of modification).
