Resource Groups

If I drag a resource into a recourse group are all the child resources automatically added to this resource, or do i have to individually add each one?

I’m also interested. And how to make new child resources automatically inherit the rights of the parent group?

These look like a necessary features for me right now, too, especially inheritable resource groups.

This seems like something that should be built in, but I might write a quick plugin tonight that will make automatically make resources inherit the resource groups from their parents.

Has someone achieved Resource Group inheritance? This would be a prerequisite for any member/intranet pages.

Could that be achieved by using getResourceField somehow?

Any ideas appreciated.

Inheritance will not be available until 2.1.x releases of Revolution. It is a steep and slippery slope...

Is there a workaround for the meantime? Can we set a default Resource group for a given template?

You could use a plugin to automatically add Resources to a default Resource Group based on the template when they are created.

It would be nice to have such a plugin - but I’m afraid that is beyond my current knowledge.

Someone else for this challenge?
