RichText TV?

Hello there,

This is going to sound really stupid, but I can’t get my RichText TV to save / output content using Revo 2.0PL. Correct me if I’m wrong but shouldn’t it just be a case of setting the Input Filter on a TV to RichText?

Any ideas on what could be causing this? I’m testing on FF.

I am having the same problem. I was able to do this easily in Evo, so I’m a little confused as to why it’s not working in Revo. Could it have something to do with TinyMCE? Any insights would be helpful.

ETA: This bug was reported on Jira. There is no viable solution other than selecting the document from the document tree, adding the content, previewing and repeating the same process. This is fine for me, but not for my clients. By the way, my system info is as follows:

I am also using Firefox 3.6.8.

Finally figured this out! I needed to uninstall TinyMCE completely (doing a force remove through the Package Management) and then install the latest version. Doing an upgrade to the latest version didn’t work for some reason. Hope this helps with your problem.

I’ve experienced the same problem and here’s some details. Hope it helps closing the bug.

From a ressource that have a RichTextTV, if I change the template, the RichTextTV become TextTV without any js error (test with firebug). At this moment, if I save the ressource I have 2 errors :

and the box "Please Wait" stays opened. You have to refresh the page.

The only way I found to get the RichTextTV back is to
- change template
- refresh the page without saving

I removed TinyMCE and installed it back (version 4.04). Nothing changed.

Did you do a force remove? This option pops up if you right-click, and you may need to do this several times for each version of TinyMCE installed. TinyMCE needs to be completely gone from Package Management and then you need to re-download the latest version.

I completly removed TinyMCE and installed the last version.

If I don’t change the template, everything is allright. But I change the template, the richtextTV become a TextTV and get back to richtextTV after a page refresh.

It’s an ImageTV which was responsible of my headaches. I reset the default value via phpmyadmin and everything is back.

The problem is related to CodeMirror/Firefox. If in the image TV, I modify one option in the Model Access, it seems to add a "\n" to the default value (after reloading the image TV, there are two empty lines in the default value box.

When CodeMirror is off, it doesn’t occur in Firefox
When CodeMirror on, using Chrome, it doesn’t occur.

The other strange thing is that if I change the template of a ressource, all tvs (image & rich text) are unusable. I have to save and reload the ressource to see tvs displayed correctly (Firefox and Chrome).
