    Hi There,

Still getting my head around the form customization and wondered if you have to manually enter each rule for each Modx installation? Can you use a chunk or a file as a source for all your customization rules - or can you use property sets maybe?

    Cheers

    Ben

      Very good suggestion!!
Do you want to file it in Jira?

Package Management allow us to pack some components of our site like
Templates, Template Variables, Chunks, Snippets, Plugins, Packages and
even Files in Directories. Very powerful and helpful!

BUt yes, packing the time consuming rules of form customization would be
      really great...

I experience the same problem. I’m doing a lot of manager customization. It could become a pretty pain in the ass to configure all the manager form customization rules one by one in Revolution. (Especially when working on an netbook and a shared server with a memory_limit of 32mb wink). The way managermanager in Evolution worked, with the mm_rules chunk was a much faster way to implement custom manager rules; I had made a set of predefined rules which I could copy-paste.

It would be awesome to have an option in Revolution to load a chunk or an external file with customization rules.

I filed this suggestion in the bugtracker: http://bugs.modx.com/issues/2772
