Contributing Code to MODx Revolution

...is actually pretty simple. Just go sign and submit a CLA, and then go signup for a GitHub account.

Then you can fork the modxcms/revolution repository and clone your newly forked repository.

From there, you use Git normally, and can send a Pull Request when you've got code to send over. The MODx Integration Managers will approve or deny your patch, and it'll be in the main MODx repository!

Simple, eh? There are no other barriers now to contributing - just a CLA, and signing up and using your GitHub account. This process is outlined here if you want more info, and GitHub has some excellent tutorials on using Git and GitHub.

Big Bob! is true there is a good section of the book on git, and it is very useful, from page 70 to page 89, right 19 pages helping in that. And then there's a whole chapter, chapter 13 (of 27 pages intense), about the creation of transport packages. No doubt his work was very useful and I will be useful to all professionals who want to work together to MODx. Thank you.

CLA confirmation 404:
My concern was that when I confirm the CLA form, came out a 404 page, and do not know if my form came to the MODx team.(In the CLA form I used the official email of my company)

I'm a company owner but my company isn't structured as a corporation. Currently, I'm a sole proprietor. Is the "corporate" CLA generic enough to apply to non-corporations? Or is the contributor one enough for my case? No one claims ownership of my code but me, whether done under my name or my business name.

I can't say for sure, but I think the contributor one should be fine. That's what I used.

I don't think the publisher would approve, and trust me, that's not the only part of the book you want.
