Broken links and missing template in backend manager

Server: Linux sulafat 2.6.32.9 Apache/2.2.16, PHP 5.2.11, Mysql (Client: 5.1.39, Server: 5.1.45)
PHP: magic_quotes_gpc = On, register_globals = Off
Modx: Revolution 2.0.0pl (advanced but without changes)
Plugins: Wayfinder, tinymce
Settings: SEO links activated
Browser: Firefox 3.6.8
No errors in error.log, no opcode caching

I’m currently testing modx. I added a few pages, subpages content, removed them and applied a template from a pure html+css site.
At the moment I can’t manage my pages anymore, because it always searches for id 6 whatever page I want to edit/view, although id 6 doesn’t exist anymore.
If I try to view my template, it’ll say template_err_not_found.
The template is still there in the database. I can browse my frontend but can’t change pages in the backend.
I have no idea what’s gone wrong. The database looks fine. Hope someone can help me out.

- Any errors in core/cache/logs/error.log
- Any opcode caching such as eAccelerator, xCache, APC, etc
- any other environment data we should know.

I’ve just tested in Chrome. It’s working fine. After I restarted Firefox it’s working there too. What could have that been? I deleted the cache serveral times, logged out+in before posting here, but that didn’t help.

Guess my problem’s solved now, but still seems to be strange...

- Did you add any Access Controls?
- Does this occur with other browsers, or just FF 3.6.8?
- Try clearing your browser cache.
- Try turning magic_quotes_gpc off.
- Is mod_security enabled? What about safe_mode?

1. Yes, I added access controls, but I was logged in as administrator.
2. see above
3. cleared too
4. I can check this, but now it works with magic_quotes_gpc turned on
5. no mod_security, safe_mode = off

I’ll keep an eye on this. For now you can consider this solved. Thanks for your help though.

I’ve noticed that sometimes FF is a bit reluctant to give up cached javascript. It can take two or three clearings of the browser cache, plus a hard-refresh (shift-reload in FF Mac) to finally get it to load a new copy of a js file.

I’ve got this problem again.
Firefox = template_err_not_found or ID 6 not found

In Chrome and other Firefox instance it is working. This is really strange. This time it’s a fresh installation without changes.
