Forgive me if I am being a bit daft but...
How do I move a file in the resource browser/file manager
The resource browser points to the /resources folder which contains folders for files, images, flash, media
When I upload a file via the resource browser it always goes to the root of resources, and I cant seem to find a way of moving it to say /images for example. I’ve tried dragging and dropping the file but that doesn’t seem to do anything.
Is there a way of moving files in the Resource Browser???

Make sure that you’ve got appropriate permissions on each of those folders and subfolders, eg 777.
The other thing to be aware of is that I find it works better if you right click on the relevant folder in the Files folder tree, and click on Upload Files from there. If you click the Upload Files icon at the top of the Files tab, it tries to upload to the root folder, which doesn’t always work (depending on permissions, and whether you’ve allowed it in the config options).
Dude has a point. I’ve had a good look around, and it seems there’s simply no way to move a file in Revo!
I discovered this worrying problem when it became apparent that I’d put all my images in the wrong folder and needed to move them. What I need, therefore, is a mechanism to allow me to move an image file, or folder, to a new location. Then, perhaps also a checkbox I can use to ask MODx to look through my content and find all code references to that image and update them to the correct location, so a to allow the relocation of a linked file (not only images) that may be linked from several documents, and have it moved without breaking the links.
If you decide you want to change the folder structure on the server to better organise your source files, you really don’t want to have to go back through years of news articles, potentially, changing image paths manually.
