Blank screen on install

    Installing Revo 2.0.0-pl. Got a blank screen on going to domain.com/setup. Checked the documentation, made sure I have a blank config.inc.php, chmod to 777, etc. Turned out to be that I needed to turn off safe mode... Now it works like a charm.

    Perhaps a check for safe mode in the setup process and a warning could cut out some head-scratching for folks like me?

      I have to second this request, or mention it in the installation/troubleshooting docs. It probably would have saved me two hours.

          Thanks splittingred. The website’s not called RTFM.modx.com for no reason, clearly... Nevertheless, it would be a great help to have the installer perform a few basic server checks like Safe Mode. Perhaps something for the future?

            Hi,

            I also have a blank screen. Seems that safe_mode is on on my server. Could that explains the blank page ?
