change friendly url extension?

in revolution is there a way to change the friendly url extension? it defaults to ’.html’. in evo there was a simple setting in the configuration where you could change it to any value (or leave blank, which i prefer). how can this be done in revo?

i want to be able to have my url be like ’www.domain.com/about’, whether about is a container or not.

In Revo this is now handled via the System -> Content Types settings. Just double click on the .html part and make empty/blank and then save. You may have to clear your caches to see the change, i’m not sure.

In MODx Revolution, the extensions applied to the alias when creating friendly URLs is determined by the Content Type you select for a Resource. You can edit the HTML Content Type to be blank or even / if you want.

The exception is if you mark a Resource as a container and the Content Type has a mime type of text/html. In this case the container_suffix system setting is used instead, which is / by default.
