Manager Menu Text

Is there a way to turn off the menu item explanations in the manager?

I could not find anything in the system settings...

In system / actions / navigation, update an item and remove the description.

Or this in the css file ( manager/templates/default/css/index.css ) :

a little drastic, both methods though,

the first one works fine, but if want the text back,
it will be difficult to remember the correct lexicon label.

the second works great, you get rid of all of them and can
be retrieved... but have to modify the CSS (I am lazy!)

It would be better to have a system setting!!
maybe more options: text, text+descriptions, icon, big icon, icon+text...
