undelete_document permission required to delete a document

This is mostly an FYI... I have an access policy called "Deputy Admin" that I set up to be able to have everything that the Administrator policy has EXCEPT for managing users. Full control over resources, elements, files, etc.

I set this policy up several months ago, on Revo beta 5 or maybe RC1...

Now that we’ve upgraded to the PL release, my user who has this policy reported that she was unable to delete documents.

I checked the permissions in the access policy, and ’delete_document’ was there. So I was pretty confused.

Eventually I did a side-by-side comparison of the permissions in the two policies, to look for which permissions the ’administrator’ policy had that the ’deputy admin’ policy did not.

I finally realized that ’undelete_document’ was missing from my ’deputy admin’ policy. Didn’t see how or why that would be necessary to delete a document - in my mind, undeleting is a completely separate concept. But I added ’undelete_document’, and now the right-click option to delete shows up.

I guess the general FYI is that any custom access policies created in Revo prior to PL release should be revisited after upgrade - new permissions have been added, and behavior might not be as expected.
