JS Syntax errors! (modx.panel.plugin-min.js, modx.panel.snippet-min.js)

Hi! This problem is bothering me since revolution beta came out! I have pure revolution public release installed, no errors was detected during installation process. When I’m trying to create plugin or snippet, the error like this is thrown:

What should I do about this "out of the box" error? Am I alone in this?

Something is wrong in your compressed JS; this could be an upload error or corrupted file.

You can get around it by turning off compressed JS - set the following settings to 0 (or No):

compress_js
concat_js

Unfortunately, this didn’t helped. The only difference is, that the error now is related to modx.panel.plugin.js and not to modx.panel.plugin-min.js.

When I’m trying to access this JS file directly, I’m getting this error message:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: ’\’ (ASCII=92) state=1 in /opt/users/blackbar/wwwroot/revolution/manager/assets/modext/widgets/element/modx.panel.plugin.js on line 102

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /opt/users/blackbar/wwwroot/revolution/manager/assets/modext/widgets/element/modx.panel.plugin.js on line 102

Maybe this can help, to find the issue.

Those are PHP errors being reported on JS !?! I think something in your environment is messed up. Perhaps the upload of the files to your server failed.

The problem was on the server: it was trying to parse .js files with php parser, so I asked my admin to disable that "feature" and "vuala" - all is working just fine!
