WYSIWYG Editor in Revolution 2.0

Hi,

I am brand new to ModX Revolution 2.0 (and am starting to love it) so sorry if this sounds a silly question but what has happened to the WYSIWYG content editor?

I’ve installed everything successfully after downloading the traditional deployment.

Any help would be much appreciated.

My guess is that it’s not installed by default. Go to Settings - Package Manager and download/install the package TinyMCE.

i’ve done 2 installs of revolution so far and noticed it did not install a rte either, but as the above post states, just go to add new packages, and tinymce will be one option, there was another listed as well... but i cannot recall the name of it, because it’s early and i’m only halfway into my first energy drink of the day...

you should check out the package installer, as it’ll have a few more things you’ll probably be looking for in the near future like wayfinder and some other often used snippets.

Installed TinyMCE and it works a treat.

Not sure what WayFinder is but I think I should check it out as there seem to be a lot of little gems that aren’t packaged in by default.

Actually, *nothing* is packaged in by default in Revolution.

You’ll probably want Wayfinder and getResources at least.

Be aware that the excellent e-book of kongondo refers to Wayfinder for Evo. The good news is: Wayfinder for Revo is working just the same way, only the syntax for the tags is different. All of kongondo’s explanations are valid in Revo as well.
