Packages - All in a single package

Is there any way to download and install all of the packages from the modxcms provider without having to download each one of them individually?

Sure; you could aggregate multiple packages into a single package and submit it to the extras repository. You can call it "Peter’s Special Package that includes everything Peter wants to install at once". In all seriousness, there will be a lot of aggregate packages like this popping up that combine components that are commonly used together.

What I’ve done was copy REVO from one domain to another domain and I’m finding out the hard way how Revo works. It’s actually the best way because I get to see exactly where my config info is placed in the dbase and files.

Since both domains are on the same server, with the same path, all I have to do is a GFR (global find and replace) and then re-upload the files - yikes!

But this is what I enjoy doing: finding out how to break a site, the Manager anyways, without reading through the API.

You can install PackMan and use it to bundle your packages. Then simply upload the package created by PackMan. (You could also add your package to your own server and simply include it as a package source.)

Did it. Have you tried it? I did and it was painful: bit by bit by loaded memory.

What I mean is you have to select each item you want and add it to the profile. Select another, add it to the profile.

Yes, but you only have to do it once. And you can save your "profile" and add to it later.
