File upload Issue

Can not upload anything through Modx Manager. I just get a file upload error or nothing at all. Folder permissions are properly set and "safe mode" is turned off. Also, I have several other Modx installations on this same server and have not come across this issues before. Any clues? I can’t turn this site over to my client if they can’t upload images.

Me too... It’s not clear to me what needs to be done. The FCKEditor is installed. CHMOD on the folders under assets have been set to 777. System > System Settings > File System > File Manager Path = /assets.

When I try to upload or select an image from the FCKEditor, two things happen:
1. Nothing shows up to select
2. Get an Access Denied when trying to create a folder. I figured I’d try and create a test folder to see if perhaps my file manager path was set wrong.

BTW - running Revolution 2.0.0-rc-3

Why are you using FCKEditor? FCKEditor is not supported in MODx Revolution 2.0.0-pl.

I am using tinymce. Anyone have any sugguestions? I need to set up a gallery that my client can manage. We are waiting to get this finished before launching the site so any assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

Are you using Evolution or Revolution?

Okay, noob here, so I apologize for silly questions/comments.
Shelly, not sure if this is related to your issue.

I just realized the was the setting for the Files tab in Revo. Had a problem where nothing was showing up under the files tab. Prefixed the setting with a slash (ex. /assets/templates) and everything disappeared under the files tab. Everything reappeared when I changed it to assets/templates, at least the files I put there (ex. templates).

Still having the issue with tinymce. I try to edit content in the Resource Content section. Click insert image icon on tinymce and all I see is an unnamed folder, no images, nothing... Not knowing what the file browser is pointing to I tried to add a folder named "test", but get an access denied error. Then, I tried to upload a picture - same problem. I’ve changed the folders under assets to be writeable. Do I need to create an images folder under components/tinymce ... somewhere? I think I needed to do that when I worked on Drupal - been a while and Revo is obviously different.

I am using Revolution. May be interesting to note that I am not having this issue with any of the Evolution installs I have. Am I completely overlooking something here?
