    Hi,

I’ve just installed Revolution-2.0.0-pl and I love it. But if I’m trying to get thumbnails there are none in the frontend.

    What I’ve done:

    1. Installed Revolution-2.0.0-pl
    2. Make changes to the system management
    3. Create new Resources, Templates, Chunks etc.
    4. Make a TV for getting Image
    Properties:
    Name: img.src
    Insert type: Image
    Export type: default
    5. Call this TV in a chunk/template [[$img.src]] -> Image is big
    6. Call this TV in a chunk/template wanting thumb with phpthumb [[$img.src:phpthumb=`w=300`]] (also tried [[$img.src:phpthumb=`&w=300`]]) -> Image is still big

I heard that phpthumb is now integrated in the modx core. The files are located in core/model/phpthumb/, permissions are 755, too.

I’ve installed Gallery Snippet but in the properties the gallery.phpthumb_path is .../htdocs/modx/assets/components/phpthumb/

Maybe something is wrong with my installation?

Please help me, I want to have thumbnails an want to work with MODx Revolution!

There is no default :phpthumb filter.

When we said phpthumb was integrated, we meant for the backend management. Tools wanting to use phpthumb in the front end will have to wait until someone makes a filter snippet as an Extra.

        Thanks for the info...

Is there anybody who is working on phpthumb for revolution?
Or is there something else doing what phpthumb does?

I did but it is not quite the same. The one provided in the link is to alter the image you upload in the manager backend.

With phpThumb you were able to display images added to a post in different sizes on different places on your website. Like a small thumb on the frontpage but the complete image in the post. It was also possible to change the size of images provided by another website by RSS.

At first I also thought this functionality was built in in Revo. But it isn´t. undecided

Thanks that works. I really have to look into how the Revolution framework works. If I understand correctly those connectors are secured so that they are only accessible from authorized sources?

And do you now if those images are being cached?
