MODx manager doesn't seem to log me in [Revolution install - php errors]

    NEW PROBLEM; MODx manager doesnt seem to log me in, scroll down for new problem please!

    Hello

    When I try to install MODx Revolution on my XAMPP server, I get these errors:
    Warning: strftime() [function.strftime]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/Paris' for '2.0/DST' instead in K:\xampp\htdocs\Scripting\Modx Revolution\setup\includes\modinstall.class.php on line 760

    The full setup worked quite well untill I click on ’next’ after the ’Connection Information’ page.

    I guess I’m the only one with the problem cause I couldn’t find topics liket his one on the forum.

      In PHP 5.3+, you have to set date.timezone in your php.ini to not get that error:

      http://www.php.net/manual/en/datetime.configuration.php#ini.date.timezone

        Hi,

        I just did this in my php.ini file:
        date.timezone = "Europe/Amsterdam"


        But I still get the errors... Please help me?

          Don’t use quotes. and restart the server.

            Hey, sorry for the quotes. Thanks for the solution, the install worked now. I just had to restart the server lol.

            But now when I try to log in to the manager, I can’t log in.
            When I use wrong password MODx says so, but when I use good password the session doesn’t seem to work.
            And I get no errors or something just a refreshed login page.
            When I go to my phpinfo() it says: Session Support: enabled.

            Strange... please help

                Hi,
                First of all thank you for helping me so much and so fast.
                I just read the page. First I added the line php_value session.auto_start 0 to my .htaccess. That didn’t work.

                After that I read the other solution: The login page keeps redirecting me back to the login screen with no error.

                It seemed that I didn’t had any of these rows in my database (modx_system_settings table):
                session_name
                session_cookie_path
                session_cookie_domain
                So I couldn’t delete them.
                But I did delete the core/cache/config.cache.php file.
                Unfortunately that didn’t work either.

                I have restarted my apache a few times already, but I still don’t get in the manager embarrassed

                Really strange, I followed the faq but it still doesn’t work huh.
