    It was an upgrade, from RC-3 to modx-2.0.0-pl.zip

      Did you try to install/upgrade with the advanced distribution? It seems so.

      If so, you’ll need to make those paths writable so it can copy the files.

        no, with the common one.
        i didn’t know that connector/ and manager/ should be 0777.
        it feels unsecure to me.

        EDIT:
        I just tried to change the permissions, both of the directories to be 0777, recurse into the subdirectories only, and returned it back after finish the installation.
        The error stays.

            I’m getting the same set of errors on a new install on Hostgator. This is with the "regular" 2.0.0_p_l download dated 7/22. In my case this was getting installed on a subfolder off of the site’s root. I also installed the Sample Site and got this output :

                I got same problem installing a fresh version of MODx 2.0.0 pl at Cirtex Hosting!

                I cant save chunks, snippets..etc.
