I managed Revo 2.0.0-pl rev7177 installed on Hostgator but am having a problem setting up a new user. Specifically, when I go to Security -> Manage Users -> New User all I end up with is the Manager framework (e.g. Home, Site, Security, etc. toolbar, Resource/Elements/Files "dialog" box and ... nothing else.
Being new to Revo, I’m assuming there should be something else going on? I thought maybe I needed a set of user groups and resources set up first, so I did that. But still the same.
Also, after installing, is core.transport.zip supposed to still be lying around?
Anyone’s thoughts would be appreciated.

For what it’s worth, this install didn’t go as smoothly as I hoped. Perhaps it’s because it’s on a temporary url like this
http://xx.xx.xx.xx/~subfolder/. Anyway, here are the steps I took :
Checked out latest 2.0 Revolution (r7177)
(Exported with Tortoise SVN on Vista 64-bit to get uploadable version)
Logged into cpanel on new site and under email accounts set up valid email address
Set up a mysql database and user with all privileges (default was utf8_unicode_ci)
Turned off register_globals and verified magic_quotes were off.
In MODx_Revolution folder on PC :
Copied build.config.sample.php to a different directory
as build.config_newsite.php and edited to reflect correct database name,
user, and password. Left charset as utf8 and host as localhost and table as modx.
FTPd install (unpacked) to Hostgator location (under public_html)
Uploaded build.config_newsite.php to build.config.php under _build
Browsed to
http://newsite/_build/transport.core.php to get the following output

Checked that core/packages/core.transport.zip now existed
and that core/packages/core contained manifest.php and other stuff

Navigated to "New installation", left permissions at 755/644, deselected "Core"
kept "Files are already in-place" checked
Got the following errors :

Selecting "Back" got me to a "Context Installation" page (which I hadn’t been
presented with before)
Selected "Back" again and got to "Connection Information" (which I hadn’t been
presented with before)
Filled out info.
Database server test worked.
Database collation test worked
Filled out relevant admin info
Got "Context" page and selected "Next"
Installation summary was now correct.
Selected install.
Received an installation successful message.
"Next" got me a connection reset. "Try again"/Resend got me a "Thank you" page.
Did not delete setup folder.
Logged into manager. Got message saying couldn’t find welcome.html.
Turned off Firebug and refreshed. Got to configuration check page.
Turned off rich-text editor, set site to unavailable after creating an unavailable page.
Renamed setup folder to something else for the moment
Renamed ht.access to .htaccess in root, core and manager folders.
Selecting "New User" under "Security" gives me a blank page.
