[SOLVED] User-specific filebrowser-folder vs generated image-path...

Hi guys,

I’m using an Image-TV for an overview of projects. For my clients user-account, I’ve made a setting so that they can only see the /images/ folder and subfolder, in order to block them from screwing up their brand-spanking-new CMS. However, when I set this TV for a Resource, it generates the URL as /images/subfolder/image.png, but when they set it, due to the filebrowser being restricted, it sets it to subfolder/image.png. Is there a way to work around this?

Think you went a little overboard there, it now chucks in the full server-path instead of the web-url .

hrm. I’ll look at it. What are you setting as your filemanager_path?

Is /home/sites/site17724/web/ your base_path? IOW, is images/ in your site root?

If so, set filemanager_path to images/. MODx will auto-prepend the base_path if there’s no beginning /

I’ve committed a fix in r7157 that allows for absolute paths; of course, thumbnails wont generate though if the directory set by filemanager_path isn’t web-accessible (ie, if it’s not in your MODX_BASE_PATH somewhere)

Well your fix did the trick, wasn’t aware that if i neglected / in front of the path it would continue on from base_path, that is absolutely sweet (also fixed my thumbnail issue ). *bows down in awe*
