Mysql client upgrade on Debian done, but MODx thinks it's old one

    Hi,
    Did anyone get MODx Revoltuion working on Debian?
    If so, how did you install the mysql client?

    Because I did install it (using the dotdeb apt-libraries), but it’s still the old version according to MODx.
    According to some information I found on the internet, that’s because on the PHP-side nothing was changed.

    Other question: can I install MODx revolution while this error is there?

      You are correct that on the PHP (client) side, nothing changed when you upgraded the MySQL server. To update the client, you need to update your PHP, preferably to a version that uses the same version of MysQL client as your MySQL server.

        Thanks Susan; that solved the issue!

        If anyone else is interested; the following was what I did now:
        vi /etc/apt/sources.list (you can choose a different mirror):
   deb http://packages.dotdeb.org stable all
   deb-src http://packages.dotdeb.org stable all
   deb http://php53.dotdeb.org stable all
   deb-src http://php53.dotdeb.org stable all

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade php5

vi /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini
   date.timezone = Europe/Amsterdam

/etc/init.d/apache2 reload
