    I could be wrong, but it seems that the access controls in Rev 2.0.0-rc-2 rev6923 pale in comparison to the access controls in Evo 1.04. Is this true? I’m finding it, so far, not as easy to implement file access control in the Rev version.

      The new permissions take time to get used to.

      However, it offers for way more flexibility then before, using different roles for each user group etc.


      To get you started, try Bob’s article about it: http://bobsguides.com/revolution-permissions.html

      Just follow some of his instructions and eventually you’ll work it out.


      I’m hoping to experiment a little more with the access controls over the coming time and write a simple tutorial on how to set it up for the first time for in the Docs. For now, use Bob’s article wink

        That would be great! I’m struggling with the new permission system as well.

          Look at the attached jpg.

          "Inscription" page is not authorized for logged in members
          "Mon compte" page is not authorized for anonymous visitors

          It outputs unauthorized page instead of 404.

            No answer for you, just a thought, about the french translation I see in your screenshot , the translation says : "Ici vous pouvez choisir les groupes de ressources que ce groupe d’utilisateurs peut avoir accès"...

            The good one, with correct grammar, should be : "Ici vous pouvez choisir les groupes de ressources auxquels ce groupe etc..." (parlons un français correct)...

              I spotted this too :p but after all even if it hurts when reading we understand the phrase, don’t we ? Thanks to the modxer that took some of his time to provide a translation.
              The fr translation was downloaded on modx forums and actuallity yes there are many -light- errors. Take a closer look at the "annulé" that should be "annuler" etc, wink



              Step by step I try to correct them. I’ll attach the new archive in the right forum topic nextly when done.

                I agree with you thanks to the translators which spent time to make it readable if not perfect...

                BTW I don’t use manager in french but in english, and use french language only for front-end users...
